Allgemeine Informationen
Joe Doe Guitars only builds models that have their very own epic tales to tell. In collaboration with Vintage, every guitar included in the Joe Doe range comes in a limited edition of just 100 models. Made to honour the incomparable Betty La Foy, the ST-style body of the Lucky Betty has been decked out with drag-race style graphics and finished with special Go Fast body binding while the back of the neck is adorned with a scrawled good-luck message from Betty's husband, Big Al. At least, that's the story that Joe Doe Guitars is sticking to.
A single Joe Doe designed humbucker is all that's needed to power this blistering instrument and can be tweaked using the provided volume and tone pot, then split using the variable coil tap to pull even more tone out of the double-coil pickup. From a clean gut-punch to all-out overdrive, this guitar always manages to land it beautifully.
The Joe Doe Lucky Betty
Towards the end of the '50s, a fierce troupe of stunt woman left Indiana to tour the United Stages with their unique show. One of the most notoriously brave woman made her name for performing the most adventurous and death-defying stunts. Betty La Foy would jump her custom Indian Scout motorcycle over school buses, through rings of fire and around the wall of death, all while playing Rock 'n' Roll hits on her specially built electric guitar. Whether Betty La Foy existed or not, the Lucky Betty really is lucky, and this unique homage to a one-off (possibly fictional) human comes complete with a hard case, certificate of authenticity and nice bunch of mouth-watering case candy.
