KMA ventures into the digital world of sound processing with a delay/reverb double pedal. First impression: there is a lot going on on the panel. And it feels just as versatile. In addition to the usual functions, the unit offers some unusual features.
The intensity of the respective effect can be controlled via the velocity, the effect of which is controlled by the Sens knob. A 3-way toggle switch on each side opens up further functions. On the delay side, different modes can be preselected. For the reverb there is a high or low pass filter to be selected. In the middle position, MOD provides a silky smooth movement on the sound image.
Designer Enrico Preuß has also come up with something special for the TAP and Engage (bypass) footswitches. Holding the Engage switch maximises the decay effect. Holding TAP activates an endless echo. The user can even hold both switches simultaneously to create so-called ambient sounds.
An expression pedal can also be used to control certain parameters by foot. The rotary switch in the middle serves as a selection option for this, accessing the respective area in a clockwise direction.
In addition to the aesthetic silkscreen graphics, KMA from Berlin has once again succeeded in creating something very special technically with Cirrus. The pedals are made by hand with great care in Germany's capital city. In this respect, it can be rightly said that what the mechanical clockwork of a Swiss manufacture is, that is KMA's boutique pedals for the world of guitar effects.
