Mit der Maxime Haltbarkeit über Flexibilität wurde ein solides Core-Design gewählt, als Ergebnis das Kabel ist etwas steifer als ein durchschnittlicher flexibles Kabel, aber die Lava Soar ™ lässt sich immer noch sehr gut ausrollen und zusamnenrollen. Unser Ziel mit diesem Kabel ist es, gleiche Ergebnisse bei fast der Hälfte des Preises anderer High-End-Kabel in dieser Kategorie zu bieten. The Lava Soar™ is Lava Cable’s official entry into the true high-end guitar cable category.  Based on proven high-end guitar cable design principles, the cable features dual 22 AWG 99.99% pure OFC solid copper conductors in a unique configuration, dual layers of tailored shielding, and a rugged outer braid.  It comes with highly conductive Lava Silver Wire plugs standard as part of a complete matched plugs-to-cable design.

Durability over flexibility was chosen in the solid-core design and as a result the cable is slightly stiffer than an average stranded cable, but the Lava Soar™ still retains a nice lay and feel.  Our goal with this cable is to provide same results at nearly half the price of other high end cables in this category. With low capacitance of 29 pF/ft in the sweet spot zone, it provides outstanding detailed frequency response so you can hear your guitar the way it was meant to be heard. In the world of instrument cables, one of the more striking differences is that between solid core and stranded core cables. For reasons of flexibility and cost, stranded core cables represent the vast majority of product out there. But solid core truly offers increased clarity that is easily apparent. They are cleaner, louder, with more piano-like lows and an absence of "fizz" or distortion at the upper end. At first you might think the solid cable is lacking high end, but really it's the absence of high frequency distortion. This is especially noticeable when using a distortion pedal. The solid core cable sounds cleaner than stranded core and the distortion is warmer, smoother, and with less fizz. Technically, this has to do with the "skin effect" of stranded wire but all that matters is that it sounds better.

The downside of a solid core cable is flexibility, and possibly durability of the solid cores over time. Personal experience has shown however that these cables want to stay relatively straight and not wind themselves up like most stranded cables. I find them perfectly suitable for live gigs and failure at the connector is no better or worse.

Try the solid core test: Try a LAVA Soar against your current stranded cable straight into your amp, and then with your favorite stomp box. The LAVA Soar will sound cleaner, louder, with better clarity and note definition. If not, we'll take it back.
