Mr Black Pedals Digital Delay Effect Pedal
The JDD-3000+ Mk. II digital delay pedal by Mr. Black is a big rack delay done in a compact, grab-and-go pedal format. Designed after a Korg SDD-3000 rack mount studio delay, the JDD-3000+ Mk. II delivers high-headroom, clean digital echoes with extra musical features. Added for the Mk. II is an onboard tap tempo, a self-oscillation mode, and silent, soft-touch footswitches.
Despite recent upgrades, the JDD-3000+ Mk. II by Mr. Black is a simple and straightforward delay pedal. The Level Balance knob controls the volume of the delay effect. Your clean tone is always present, so this knob acts as a fader for the pedal’s perceived delay effect. The Regeneration knob then controls the number of repeats heard throughout the delay.
The Delay Time (mS) knob controls the timing of the unit, up to about 850 mS of clean, high-headroom delay time. If you don’t want to control the timing of the JDD-3000+ Mk. II manually, you can use the Tempo footswitch as a tap tempo. Holding down the Tempo footswitch activates the self-oscillation mode, which creates tube-like feedback that’s hard to make sound bad.
Discover the perfect setting? Hit the Write button to save it as a preset. Then tweak away and hold down the Activate footswitch to recall your preset. The JDD-3000+ Mk. II also has an external expression pedal or tap-tempo 1/4” input, and any of the pedal’s controls can be routed to that expression pedal’s function.
From studio-quality slapbacks to atmospheric-sounding delays, the Mr. Black JDD-3000+ Mk. II digital delay pedal is capable of a broad range of classic echo tones. This big rack studio delay designed as a pedal is certainly worth checking out.
