Das Black Fountain reflektiert die Zeiten vor digitalen Delays, und emuliert die berühmten Sounds der seltenen „Oil Can Delays“. Diese Geräte verfügten über eine herausragende chorus-artige Modulation der Wiederholungen und des Effektsignals. Der Modern Mode des Black Fountain emuliert die klassischen langen Delays der Oil Can Geräte. Time und Repeat Regler ahmen die Funktion dieser Effekte nach, während der Fluid Regler die Modulation hinzufügt und das charakteristische Wabbern beimischt. Der Vintage Modus ist ähnlich dem Modern Mode, aber mit mehr Grit und Gain in den Repeats. In diesen beiden Modi hast du bis zu 800 Millisekunden Delayzeit. Der Organ Tone Modus basiert auf dem Tel-Rey Deluxe Organ Tone, Fender Dimension IV und anderen „Oil Can“ Geräten, die eine kurze, fixe Delay Zeit von ca. 20 Millisekunden hatten. Zusätzlich kannst du hier mit dem Mix Regler auch ein 100% Wet Signal erzeugen. Der Organ Tone Modus hat eine Delayzeit von maximal 211 Millisekunden.

These units emphasized a chorus-like modulation on the repeats of the effect signal as well as a beautiful and warm repeat cycle. The Modern mode emulates the classic long delay "oil can" units. The Time and Repeat controls mimic the functions of the vintage units, while the Fluid control introduces modulation based on the characteristic "wobble" of the electrostatic delay platter. The Vintage mode is similar in function to the Modern mode, but has a grittier and gainier feel to the repeats. Both the Modern and Vintage mode have a delay time of 800 milliseconds.
